Austin Shaw

Austin Shaw qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, working with clients in the film and music business.  He joined PolyGram Filmed Entertainment, managing the production finances of films such as “Four Weddings & a Funeral” and “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”.  Austin was the Executive Producer of “Andrea Bocelli – A Night in Tuscany”, the PBS television special. He was also the Executive in Charge of Production on the televised version of “Cats”, the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit musical.  Austin went on to set up Really Useful Films for Andrew Lloyd Webber where he was Executive Producer of award winning productions “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. He produced the movie version of Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera”, directed by Joel Schumacher which was nominated for three Golden Globes and three Oscars.
