William Stirling
William Stirling is a writer and producer currently mounting theatre, radio, music and film productions with Syrian refugees in Jordan, Germany and the UK. These include The Trojan Women in Jordan in 2013 (and its 2016 UK tour, Queens of Syria, in co-production with the Young Vic), We Are All Refugees,broadcast on BBC Arabic, and subsequently in English on Radio 4 as Welcome To Zaatari (2015), Oliver in Arabic (Jordan 2015), and is currently mounting a new production of The Trojan Women with Syrian refugees in Glasgow. He wrote and produced an award winning short film, Scooterman (LA Comedy Festival and Palm Springs Film Festival). He has written a novella The Umbrella of Faith, and is co-writing the memoirs of an Afghan interpreter for US and UK special forces, Lost in Translation.
